You’ve been asked to moderate a panel discussion OR you have been asked to be a panelist.
While there is a great upside to being on the panel, there’s a downside too. So… you really have to hit this out of the ballpark!
Enter Kristin Arnold. She’ll help you strategize your performance so that your session is the hit of the conference!
A Typical Coaching Engagement
A typical coaching engagement starts with a phone/Zoom call to discuss the objectives (panel and personal), expectations (panel organizer and yours), as well as any other info that might be helpful (such as videos of prior panels and skills assessment results).
Then, drawing upon her vast knowledge and resources, Kristin will provide ideas and suggestions that will help you master your panel discussion. Some of the skills include:
- Understanding the panel moderator’s role and responsibilities
- Designing an innovative format
- Coaching the panelists
- Facilitating the conversation
- Balancing the interactions
- Engaging the audience
- Gracefully intervening
You’ll also get lifetime access to the Powerful Panels Knowledge Vault for self-directed learning.
After each call, she generates a summary email along with links to various ideas and suggestions.
For most panels, three calls are just enough to get you confident and comfortable with the format, the curated questions and interactions so that you’ll hit it out of the ballpark!
And for organizations that have multiple panel moderators that need training and/or coaching, Kristin can help with that too!
“Kristin Arnold is truly the best moderator I have had the pleasure to work with. She was instrumental in helping our sales and marketing team properly prepare for and successfully launch an industry accredited webinar which included a panel discussion. Our goal was to make the session educational and engaging while also subtly building brand awareness. Based on comments we received, we did just that! Kristin knows how to ask the right questions in order to stay on track, and how to lead a team to set and achieve their goals and objectives. She is genuine, fun and a pleasure to work with.”
Taya Paige, Development Manager, The ITA Group
